How Service Providers Obtain Customer Authorization For Iridium Certus OTA Updates
Iridium Service Providers (SPs) may obtain customer authorization for Over-the-Air (OTA) updates in any form or manner consistent with:
- SPs’ contractual obligations with customers; and
- Applicable law.
Laws will differ between jurisdictions, and SPs should consult with counsel, as needed, on what authorization is legally required. In some jurisdictions, SPs may be able to obtain subscriber authorization through language in their Terms of Service.
