As many of our readers know, Iridium is a catalyst for the development of valuable solutions using our global network. Every day, our creative partners change the way people and organizations connect, operate and live. And we’re proud to enable such life-changing, innovative solutions.
We were recently contacted by one of our partners, Sutron, a global leader in hydrological, meteorological, and oceanic monitoring products, systems, software and services.
The company was recently awarded two contracts for the use of innovative technologies that are powered by the Iridium® network.
The Sultanate of Oman will use Sutron’s National Multi‐Hazard Early Warning System (NMHEWS) to supply, install, and train and commission seven coastal sea level gauges at major ports.
Chemonics International also signed with Sutron for the Haiti Watershed Initiative for National Natural Environmental Resources Project. According to the release from the company, “This project involves design, supply, installation, testing, and training for a Flood Warning System (FWS) in the Cul‐de‐Sac corridor, which includes the Riviere Grise and the Riviere Blanche.”
