Operating the world’s furthest reaching communications network is a huge responsibility. But, it provides our users with the means to communicate from some pretty cool places, where no other network can. On a recent expedition to the North Pole, Russian explorer Sergey Dolya stayed connected to the rest of the world with the help of his Iridium 9555 phone. Iridium is the only network capable of providing communications in the Polar Regions. During his trip, Sergey also managed to capture some awesome images of life around the North Pole – polar bears and all. Check out the photos on Sergey’s blog at SergeyDolyalivejournal.com. (P.S. Disclosure: The editor of this blog can’t read Russian. Thank goodness a picture is worth a 1,000 words!)
