Iridium has determined that the new version provides a better user experience and offers a more robust solution. Users will usually experience faster average throughputs, based on tests conducted by Iridium.

DI2.0 provides additional features currently not available under DI1.0 such as pop-up blocking and supported on Windows operating systems.
